Caribbean Poker Regulations and Pointers

Online poker has become world famous as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier declares "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players acquire 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the dealer's first card, you need to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager's amount is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet comes the face off. If the house doesn't have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including an amount on par with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer's hand. The casino pony's up cash equal to your ante and set odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
